All I can ask is, why buy that when you can just go get a PS3 for the same price which is not only a Blu-ray player but a gaming console along with other things I'd imagine.

But really which is better hd-dvd or blu-ray? Lets break it down.

Format | HD-dvd | Blu-ray
Size (most common) | 15/(30) GB | (25)/50 GB
Video Codecs | at least 13 | at least 3
Audio Codecs | at least 9 | at least 6
Regions | 0 (zero) | 3
Cost (Player) | >$200 (Xbox addon) | >$600 (PS3)

So, from the stuff I found on wikipedia HD looks alot better, but the real winner as Stephen Colbert would say, is the American People.

The system is _copyrighted_

NFL to church: show the Super Bowl and we sue.

"The idea is to honor the NFL's contract with networks that provide free broadcasts of the game and to protect the Super Bowl trademark."

A free broadcast that could be watched else where, but the people wanted a big gathering but no...

The Super Bowl trademark...how is a Super Bowl party going to affect the trademark?!
